‘A TASTE OF ST. CROIX’ COMMITTEE ANNOUNCES THAT THE OFFICIAL 2013 ‘WINNERS COOK-OFF IS THIS Thursday MAY 23RD,
12 P.M. AT TUTTO BENE RESTAURANT.
YOU ARE INVITED TO MEET THE WINNING CHEFS/COOKS OF THE 2013 ‘A TASTE OF ST. CROIX. YOU ARE ALSO INVITED TO VIEW THE ‘WINNERS’ COOK-OFF COMPETITION, AS THEY COMPETE FOR THE HONOR OF TRAVELING WITH THE ‘VI CULINARY TEAM TO MIAMI FLORIDA THIS SUMMER. THE VI CULINARY TEAM WILL BE TRAVELING TO MIAMI, FLORIDA TO COMPETE IN THE ANNUAL TASTE OF THE CARIBBEAN COMPETITION.
COMPETING WILL BE The Palms at Pelican Cove, You are Here Bar & Grille, Schooner Bay Marketplace, Maria’s Cantina, VI Dept of Agriculture, And Tutto Bene.

So this year was my first year attending "A Taste of St. Croix" (simply known as, "the Taste") as a local food advocate and blogger.  And honestly, I had very little idea what to expect and do other than I knew that I wanted to attend the event with one goal in mind:  Seek out and find the local food, and report on it.
